Green Tip of the Week:

  • The Week of Monday, February 20

The South Bay Cities Council of Governments will hold it’s 13th Annual General Assembly on Friday, February 24 at the Juanita Millender-McDonald Community Center in Carson.  The chosen topic is important to all of us here in the South Bay:  Be Prepared:  Preventing Disasters / Planning for Recovery.”  Natural events or manmade disasters usually come with little or no warning.  Earthquakes, wind storms, tsunamis, levee breaks, water or oil shortages are all potential threats.  Speakers from the Red Cross, LA County Emergency Management, US Geological Survey, the Port of Los Angeles, and many more will be on hand to provide insight about what to do.  For more information, go to www.southbaycities.org.
