Hot weather is coming, and we all know heat rises. A whole house fan installed in your attic will pull that hot air up and out, allowing you to quickly and efficiently cool your entire house. Whole house fans use about 1/10th the electricity of comparably sized air conditioners. SCE will help you pay for the installation with a $100 rebate. Using a whole house fan to pre-cool or cool your home instead of using central A/C could save you up to $50 on your summer bills and prevent 172 pounds of carbon dioxide from being released into the air.
