    SBESC will be hosting a workshop about Energy Upgrade California conducted entirely in Spanish on this Tuesday, January 31 at the Hawthorne Memorial Center.   A copy of the presentation in English will be available as a handout.  Additional workshops will be conducted in Spanish for our other programs and partnerships, and will be held quarterly.  Check our calendar regularly for all of our workshops, and help us pass the word along to Spanish speaking friends and neighbors!

The Gas Company is offering a $200/unit rebate on Energy Star® qualified central natural gas furnaces.   The Annual Fuel Utilization Efficiency (AFUE) of the new unit needs to be a minimum of 92%.  If your water heater needs to be replaced (don’t wait for it to fail – if it’s several years old it’s probably time to replace it) the Gas Company will give a $30/unit on models that have an Energy Factor (EF) of 0.62 or greater.  For both rebates, make and model number must be included with a copy of the receipt.   Call us for the rebate application form at (310) 371-7222.
