The Week of Monday, November 22

Posted by Kathie on Nov 21, 2010 under

You still have time to visit your local Farmer's Market and opt for foods that are produced locally for your Thanksgiving table this week.     On Tuesday, visit one in Manhattan Beach or Torrance, and on Wednesday you can visit Farmers Markets in Gardena or Lawndale.  By purchasing from a local vendor, you're not only getting fresher food but you are reducing your family's carbon footprint by eliminating the energy used to truck food in from faraway places, as well as the need for packing materials - which is very cool.   Click here for a link for a list of all the Certified Farmers Markets in Los Angeles County.    Happy Thanksgiving!
