Located in Lawndale, SBESC is funded by the ratepayers of California (that's you and me) under the auspices of the California Utilities Commission, we are the clearinghouse for energy efficiency information for the South Bay region of Los Angeles and we are the result of an innovative alliance between the South Bay Cities Council of Governments, Southern California Edison, and The Gas Company. Additional funding provided by West Basin Municipal Water District, the City of Torrance, the Sanitation Districts of Los Angeles County, the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority, and the County of Los Angeles for Energy Upgrade Californiaä. We provide rebate information as well as trainings to residents, businesses, and public agencies. We teach them how to save money by saving energy.
